Choose one of the options below as a SITE Florida and Caribbean member and become an active part of a vast network of peers to help transform the greater meetings and incentives industry.
Volunteers are people who like to give back – to make a contribution to the community in which they work. Maybe you have a special skill set and want to work on a specific project or want to meet like-minded industry colleagues while giving back. You may only have one hour a week or want to be involved for a short time on an event – whatever time you have to share, we can maximize your talent and time! We’d love to have you as a volunteer.
The SITE Florida & Caribbean Mentor Program serves to facilitate professional development among its members. Whether you are an industry veteran with 15 years experience, a brand new member, or going through a career transition, the program exists to help pair members together for further education and development.
This is your opportunity to connect one-on-one with seasoned professionals within the chapter.
FOR SITE MENTOR
The Site Florida & Caribbean Mentoring program matches early career protégés with volunteer mentors who are leaders in the field of incentive travel and motivational events, which deliver business results. One-on-one mentoring consists of two components:
- Develop and implement a career development plan focused on building the strengths of the protégé to become a Site Leader.
- Establish a mutually supportive network of professional colleagues with common professional interests.
At the end of the mentorship period, mentors in the Cyber Mentoring program will have helped develop and implement a career development plan for their protégés as well as grow their professional network.
Must be enrolled in a Florida School/college/University for at least one year, and must have some affinity to the Incentive Travel, Sales/marketing or Event Curriculum.
No Site membership will be granted. This is only a mentorship program not a scholarship program.
This can only be revoked on a case per case basis by the agreement of SFLC Board.
Young Leaders benefit by being personally linked with a positive role model who provides encouragement, direction, educational advice and a window into professional life. Mentors have the opportunity to self-reflect and develop a deeper understanding of their discipline, while improving soft skills and re-ignite their passion for their own career path. They can also benefit from reverse mentoring by tapping into the skills and knowledge of the protégé to stay current on trends and better understand a workforce that for the first time has four different generations in it.
Join A Committee
Being part of a committee takes time but the rewards are worth it! This is your opportunity to be a part of the change in the industry to keep moving in a positive direction. It’s more fun to belong to a group of committed people who invest their time because they know that a strong board and effective committees are crucial to the chapter’s growth and success, as well as being advocates for the industry.
